Allow this hotel to transport you away from the crowds and to a blissful state of tranquility. Jaw dropping views await your every step as you navigate the labyrinth of cascading pathways. Seize the opportunity to try something new by visiting the 5 star Lycabettus restaurant, which is frequented by guest Michelin starred chefs. Top it off with a visit to the excellent spa and you have found your own little slice of heaven in Oia.
The entire town of Oia enjoys incredible caldera views and Andronis Luxury Suites delivers unobstructed views from your suite.
The hotel enjoys an incredible location right in the heart of Oia.
Cave-like rooms with the traditional white-washed and charcoal walls serve as a constant reminder you are staying on a volcano.
The hotel is extremely quiet all day despite being located right on the main street in Oia.
The food is excellent, but very much on the high-end. If super fancy isn't your thing, there are tons of restaurants steps from your suite.
Andronis Luxury Suites has a spa on-site, which is a big deal. You won't find spas at many of the hotels since space comes at a premium in Oia.
The concierge can arrange just about anything from wine tastings to helicopter tours.
Andronis has numerous hotels on Santorini and you will find their brand on numerous stores as you explore Oia. As expected, their boutiques are quite expensive.
Santorini is a seasonal island and Andronis Luxury Suites is open from March through November. It is highly recommended to book your trip at least 4 months in advance.
Lycabettus is one of the nicest restaurants in Santorini. Be sure to make reservations at least 2 months in advance.
Rooms are not private. Guests will be able to clearly see you on your patio while navigating the hotel walkways.
The hotel does not have a gym on-site, but the steps will give you plenty of workout.
The staff are very friendly, but also very professional. They are definitely trying to create a feeling of prestige for those that stay here.
Children are not welcome at this hotel, which is fairly common in Santorini. You will find yourself among couples and honeymooners.
Chic resort-wear is a must during the day. By nightfall, keep it smart-casual.
Oia, and practically all hotels and restaurants, have tons of stairs. This hotel is no different. Those who cannot walk many flights of stairs should not attempt to stay here.

Andronis Luxury Suites is located on the eastern end of Oia on the main street of Nikolaou Nomikou. Large crowds will be passing by this hotel every day, but being situated down the caldera from the town means you will enjoy peace and quiet.
Oia faces south and does not get blasted by direct sunlight all day. This means, your suite will enjoy some nice shade in the final couple of hours leading into the evening.
The hotel will provide transportation for a fee from the airport or ferry terminal. There is no place to park in Oia and the drop-off location for the hotel requires a short walk.
Walking is the name of the game in Oia. The main road is part of the Oia-Fira trail, so you can walk all the way to Fira if you want, which will take 90 to 120 minutes. However, even though you can walk half-way across the island, I recommend staying in Oia once you are there. There are far cheaper lodging options if you plan on leaving Oia each day.
The bottom line, once you are in Oia, stay there! Traffic is a mess trying to get in and out of the village. Plus, Oia has tons to offer, so why leave? There are dozens of restaurants and shops within a 15 minute walk from the property.
Andronis Luxury Suites gives you the exact feeling you have gotten every time you look at a picture of Oia. White and charcoal concrete cascade down the caldera cliffs with a touch of flowers around the turns providing a nice contrasting pop of color. Every inch of the hotel is designed to maximize the views and you will find yourself frequently stopping to take them in.
The lobby is located directly on the main drag in Oia, Nikolaou Nomikou. As you would expect from a small, intimate hotel, the lobby only consists of the front desk and a sitting area. Here, you will be checked in and given an introduction to the property. One nice standout is that the lobby is one of the most easy to identify locations on the main road, so you won’t get lost finding your way back.

The hotel does feature a nice pool with outstanding views of the Caldera. However, it is not the focal point of the hotel like some other big name properties on the island.
The pool and deck are not big and will not accommodate a large number of guests. But, this is not a big deal because this hotel is all about your suite. Most guests tend to stay in their rooms and enjoy the private pools they paid for. There is a bar right next to the pool to make any concoction you wish.
Most hotels in Oia are limited on space and not all properties have a spa on-site. Thus. the The Mare Sanus Spa at Andronis Luxury Suites is a rare treat in Oia.
Following the hotels cave theme, the Spa is located within the caldera and provides a dark and calm atmosphere. The spa is small and does not offer a large selection of treatments that you may expect to see at a five star property. The massage itself was good quality, but not the best we have had at a property of this caliber. However, the prices were reasonable, even compared to four star hotels.
Most of the suites feature private pools with exceptional views of the caldera. Our suite had a very large plunge pool compared to most Santorini hotels. We also had an exceptional view of the caldera. The room faces south, and while the pool and patio get plenty of sunlight, you will get a break and a chance to enjoy some shade in the late afternoon.
The highlight of the suite is the exceptionally large patio. Sporting enough space for two loungers, a dining table and a hammock, all perfectly covered by shade sails, the private patio is where you will spend most of your time.
Be cautious when walking around your patio barefoot, especially near the pool. The smooth concrete can become very slippery.
Clean and simple sums up the decor within the suite. Upon entering into a spacious sitting room, you will feel the size of this suite and the tall ceilings will give you that “grand” feeling. A standard sofa with television setup fill out this room with the entertainment unit containing a minibar.
Adding to the large size of the suite is a walk-in closet area to the left of the entry. This closet provides a great place to store your bags and unpack. In addition, it contains a desk, which we found to be a great spot to plugin all of our electronics.
The bedroom features a round king size bed. While the round bed may seem cool and sexy, it is not always the best choice for taller guests.
The bathroom continues the cave theme with dark charcoal concrete covering every surface, including the countertop. The bathroom is spacious, but is lacking by only featuring one sink and does not separate the toilet into a water closet.
Just like the patio, the floor is smooth concrete and can become quite slippery when wet. Be careful!
Bottled water was provided in the room each day. The room did feature a coffee maker and beverage refrigerator. Beverages included soft drinks and juices as well as alcoholic options, but were not complimentary.

The entire hotel is very quiet all day and all night. The thick, concrete walls provide excellent sound insulation and most suites are a good distance down the caldera from the foot traffic in Oia. Your suite, however, is not completely private. Other guests will be able to see you on your patio as they walk past.
Lycabettus restaurant is headed by chef Christos Karagiannis. Featuring Santorini inspired cuisine, the pre-fixe menu comes with a handful of options for each course.
Lycabettus offers an intimate dining experience with exceptional views of the caldera making it one of the most popular and distinguished restaurants in Santorini. You absolutely need to make reservations several months in advance.
Andronis likes to provide exceptional experiences for their guests and often bring in guest Michelin starred chefs. If a guest chef is brought in after you make your reservation, be advised that the guest chef will have a separate menu and the restaurants regular menu will not be available.
We ended up canceling our reservation at Lycabettus because our booking ended up having a guest chef. Unfortunately that chefs menu was not appealing to us, especially at the elevated prices.
While we did not have dinner at Lycabettus, we did have lunch and I am happy to say that the food was amazing. However, because our room was so spectacular, we opted to order room service for lunch most days. The food delivered to our room was timely and on-point.
The hotel offers full room service from the Lycabettus restaurant. Service is prompt with complete table setup in your room. The food tastes as good as it looks!
Breakfast at Andronis Luxury Suites is amazing, and best of all, it is included in your room rate. Each night you will make your selections from a menu left in your suite and elect a time. Breakfast is delivered right on time the next morning and is setup on your patio table. You may also opt to have breakfast at Lycabettus restaurant, but why bother when you can sit in the comfort of your suite and take in that beautiful view?
The food tastes amazing and it will surely be a highlight of your stay here.
Most hotels in Santorini are small and do not have much onsite other than restaurants and pools. However, Santorini has plenty to offer from beaches, wineries, helicopter tours, photoshoots and more. The concierge will be happy to book any of these activities for you. Plus, with Oia at your front doorstep, there are plenty of restaurants, shops and sites just minutes away.
Andronis Luxury Suites does feature a spa on premises, which is not common in Santorini. The spa is on the smaller side and offers a more limited selection of treatments compared to spas at larger resorts.
Visiting a local winery is an absolute must when in Santorini. The concierge can make recommendations and arrange a tasting with transportation.
The ancient Minoan city of Akrotiri is located on the complete opposite side of the island and is about a 45 minute drive from Oia.
Red Beach is only a five minute walk from the Akrotiri ruins. The two attractions make for a perfect day in Santorini.
Skaros Rock dominates the views in front of Imerovigli The Oia-Fira hiking trail is easily accessible from the hotel and will take about 90 to 120 minutes to reach Skaros rock.
The front desk was staffed at all hours of the day. They did a phenomenal job of welcoming us to the hotel, giving us an overview of the property as well as Oia. The front desk also responded quickly to our requests. For example, we had an issue with the lock on our door and the front desk had maintenance to the room in under five minutes.
This hotel is top-notch across the board and that starts with management. All of the staff are incredibly well trained, friendly and professional.
We did not leave the room during the day since our suite was so amazing. However, housekeeping still came in the middle of the day and cleaned while we sat on the patio. They did an amazing job and were sure to respect our privacy. Turndown service was provided while we were out each evening. On the final night, we were surprised with a rose petals and candles, a nice touch for sure.
We ended up using room service a lot at Andronis Luxury Suites because we didn’t want to leave our suite! Breakfast was promptly delivered at our desired time each morning. We also had lunch delivered to our room each day as well. Food was delivered consistently within 30 minutes of ordering each time.
Andronis Luxury Suites lives up to its name and truly stands out amongst a strong lineup of competitors in popular Oia, Santorini. This hotel offers some of the best suites available on the island and on-site spa gives this property a leg-up on the competition. From the service to the food, this place shines as brightly as the sun reflecting off the beautiful caldera waters. You won’t be disappointed if you select this property for your Santorini holiday.
